A.I. comin to Memphis

Allen Iverson is going to become a Grizzly. Iverson is one of the few true household names in the NBA. LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, Iverson... that is the list. The Grizzlies are getting killed in the national media for the move, but that is because many in the media have made the massive error of using logic in their analysis.

In order to understand the Grizzlies you need to think of how the Spurs front office (or whatever very credible organization) would run the team if they were in charge, and then imagine the opposite.

You have to go into every transaction the Grizzlies make with that understanding, and then you just hope the move has a chance at working out and makes for a more entertaining product.

Iverson fits the bill. I love it, but I had long ago given up hope that they had some kind of cohesive plan to build a championship level team in the future. I am just rooting for people to be interested in the team again, and this will certainly help (at least for a year).

Vinnie Verno and "The Promise"

Vinnie Verno came out of the gate with a dreadful 1-4 week. The message to Vegas is clear... they messed with the bull, and now they will get the horns. Watch out, because Vinnie Verno is gonna get the lights turned off in that town. In honor of Tim Tebow...

Alabama -6.5 over V Tech-- when vtech plays an SEC team, they lose. go look it up. let me tell you the story of Tyrod Taylor... he stinks.. the end.

Maryland +21 over California-- Pac-10 overrated as usual. Maryland won straight up last year and now they lose by 3tds? the maryland qb is not great, but has played well in big spots.

Georgia +5.5 over Oklahoma St. -- Oklahoma State beats crappy teams, not good ones. Too hyped. Richt does not lose on road. Get money like T Boone.
